1. Don't always take the highest work order quest available to you, because when your crafting level is only at or barely above there's more chance for failure and thus wasting NPC-bought materials.

For example, only take the level 200 work order when you're level 205, and do it until you're 215. You won't completely eliminate failure, but it's an improvement.

2. Frankly a work order at any given level is capable of raising your level by 20 or more if you repeat it enough. The repetition kind of balances out with the fact that higher work orders usually cost more in materials.

3. The level 1 work order doesn't require any materials from the NPC, so you can repeat that until level 40 if you wanted to save a little bit of money. Also only make the required number of items, which increases from 0-99, 100-199 etc. This way you maximize the number of times you can repeat the quest to get the reward.

4. Lastly the level 199 shape changing candies made by cooking with the essence of certain monsters will shave maybe 1-1.5 seconds off of each item made, by not having the after-animation.
